Early Life
Dr Curran earned his medical degree and an intercalated honours degree in Human Genetics from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. He began his career in emergency medicine and infectious diseases before relocating to the UK in 2005. Over the course of the next two decades, he operated exclusively in the City of London, providing healthcare services to leading blue-chip companies including Google, Deutsche Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and BNP Paribas. This experience gave him unique insight into the drivers of burnout, performance decline, and stress-related illness in high-demand professional environments.
Through years of clinical experience, Dr Curran recognised that conventional, symptom-focused medicine often fails to address the true causes of chronic disease such as hormonal imbalance, chronic inflammation, nutrient depletion, metabolic dysfunction, and environmental toxicity. This insight led him to embrace the Functional Medicine model and, more recently, the emerging field of Longevity Medicine.
Current Day
Today, his practice integrates multi-omics diagnostics (genomics, epigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics, microbiomics), hormone harmonisation, immune restoration, geroprotective agents, and regenerative therapies such as peptides, photobiomodulation, stem cells and EBOO. He is passionate about evidence-based, cutting-edge advances in science and technology that support resilience, performance, and youthful ageing.
His expertise and thought leadership have been featured in the UK press, including The Financial Times, British Vogue, Tatler’s 2025 Address Book, Harper’s Bazaar, and The Telegraph, underscoring his position at the forefront of longevity and regenerative medicine. Dr Curran has also collaborated with high-profile professional athletes across Premier League football, professional cycling, and competitive weightlifting.
Dr Curran now brings his expertise to the specialist team at Biolite Clinic where his mission is to empower clients with the insights and strategies to optimise their physiology, extend their healthspan, and thrive across all stages of life.
