How is it better than a thread eyebrow lift?<\/h3>\n

Thread lifts are not a new concept. They hit the market 15 years ago, but the FDA put a stop to some early versions of the procedure. It used permanent threads to temporarily lift the skin and stimulate the body\u2019s own collagen production, leading to inflammation and scarring. Although now replaced with biodegradable threads, they are still painful, have a long downtime, and can cause complications of asymmetry and infections. On the other hand, we believe in procedures that are safe with minimal downtime: Ultherapy is the only FDA-cleared<\/a> procedure to lift non-surgically, while Botox gives your eyes a big lift while decreasing lines and wrinkles. Both procedures done together result in an eyebrow lift with minimal downtime and pain.<\/p>\n

How does it work?<\/h3>\n

The two-step procedure starts with a 25-minute Ultherapy session. Using ultrasound imaging, Ultherapy allows the doctor to target and intensely heat the areas under the skin that need tightening for an eyebrow lift. It creates micro-wounds into the collagen and fibrous tissues, which, as they heal, cause the skin to contract, tighten, and stimulate collagen and elastin. Next is Botox, a 20-minute session, where the injections are strategically placed around the eyebrow to stop the muscles from pulling downward.<\/p>\n

What is the downtime?<\/h3>\n

Because Ultherapy is non-ablative, meaning it does not affect the surface of the skin, there is no downtime. However, injectables used during an eyebrow lift may cause bruising and swelling. To avoid this, follow proper post-Botox care<\/a>: Don\u2019t lean forward or lie down for four hours, don\u2019t touch your face or apply makeup for 24 hrs, and no gym, laser, sauna, or facial for five days. Most importantly, do not rub your eyes.<\/p>\n

When can I see results?<\/h3>\n

The Botox will kick in within seven to 10 days, while Ultherapy produces results over three months. You may see some visible tightening and an eyebrow lift appear in a few days, but it will take up to three months for collagen rebuilding to happen.<\/p>\n
